LARP cloaks and robes built for field use, heavy enough to look the part and practical enough to wear all day at an outdoor event. Designed by Chows Emporium and tested at UK LARP events since 1994, every piece in this range has been developed with real weather and real terrain in mind.
Cloaks and robes for every character type
A good cloak does a lot of work at a LARP event. It keeps you warm during night encounters, completes a character build that might otherwise look unfinished, and layers cleanly over tunics, gambesons, and armour. The Chows cloak range covers hooded cloaks, fur-lined cloaks, fur trim capes, wool cloaks, and full-length robes, with options that suit everything from a forest druid to a dark warlock.
All cloaks and robes are designed by Chow and built to her specifications. The fabrics are chosen for durability in UK conditions, not just for how they look in product photos.
Layering guide
Most cloaks in this range sit over tunics, gambesons, and armour pieces without restricting movement. If you are building a layered kit, a cloak pairs well with a hood underneath and a sash or belt at the waist to break up the silhouette. Browse our LARP hoods and mantles and LARP belts and sashes for pieces that work alongside this range.
Character and faction suitability
Cloaks and robes appear across almost every character type. Fur-lined and fur trim options suit vikings, elves, and nobles. Hooded wool cloaks work well for druids and rangers. Full-length robes are the foundation of most mage, wizard, and alchemist builds. The striped cloak is a popular choice for pirate characters. Each character sub-page in our LARP outfit sets collection includes specific cloak recommendations.
