White Wool Hooded Cloak - Four Ways to Wear
- In stock, ready to ship
- Inventory on the way
One full-length hooded cloak in white wool, cut long enough to finish a costume rather than sit on top of it. The pale colour holds its shape at distance and frames whatever is worn under it, from a plain tunic to full armour. Four ways to wear, all from the one garment.
Designed by Chow, made to her specifications since 1994.

Four ways to wear the one cloak
- Closed as a double-breasted crossover, the front panels overlap to keep the wind out and leave both hands free.
- Buttoned on both sides, so a left- or right-handed wearer can fold back one panel and reach a weapon without opening the whole cloak.
- Both panels folded back to wear as a cape, letting the armour or costume underneath show through the drape.
- Unbuttoned and rebuttoned at the shoulders, the front panel folds away so the cloak sits as a robe.
All four styles come from how the one cloak is built, not from separate pieces to add or lose. The buttons run down both sides on purpose, so weapon access works whichever hand you favour. It is the kind of detail you notice at the third event, not the first.
A pale cloak does a different job to a dark one. Black and brown sit back and let the kit underneath carry the look. White does the opposite, framing whatever it opens over, so a plain tunic and belt read as one finished costume rather than separate pieces. Worn closed it reads healer or mage first; rebuttoned as a robe it carries a warrior or a wizard just as readily. One honest note: white picks up field mud faster than any other colour in the range, so it earns its keep in camp and in ceremony more than it does in a wet bog. At 49in the wool blend has the weight to fall in proper folds rather than hang flat, and that weight is where the cost sits.

One white wool hooded cloak. This is a single convertible garment, not a set. The robe is one of the four ways to wear it, not a second piece.
Any tunic, belt, sash or trousers shown in the photographs are styling only and are sold separately.
All Chows Emporium products are one size. This cloak is cut full and long to layer over armour, a tunic or a robe.
Length is 49in from the shoulder. Unisex fit.
If you have a question about measurements, send yours over before you order and we will tell you how it will sit.
Wool blend.
Dry clean recommended, or machine wash cold. Dry flat and away from direct heat. Do not tumble dry.
The weight of the wool blend gives the cloak its drape, cuts the wind and resists light rain. For heavy rain you would still want a waterproof over the top.
