A leather loop that hangs a tankard from your belt and leaves both hands free. Embossed with an interlaced Celtic knot and fastened with a metal popper, so it goes on and comes off without unthreading your belt. Five colours.

Designed by Chow, made to her specifications since 1994.

The problem it solves is a small one that comes up every event: you are holding a tankard, and then you need both hands. A loop on the belt takes it, and the popper means you can take the whole thing off at the end of the night rather than sliding it along the leather.

The knotwork runs the length of the strap, pressed into the leather rather than printed on top, so it holds its definition as the leather darkens with use. It suits a viking, a celt or any character whose kit leans on knotwork rather than foliage. In green, black, brown, red or blue, so it sits with the rest of your kit instead of standing out against it.

Cut from leather rather than a synthetic strap, so it takes the weight of a full pewter or steel tankard without stretching out of shape over a weekend.

Common questions

How does it attach to a belt?
The strap opens at a metal popper, goes around the belt, and closes again. You do not need to unthread your belt to put it on or take it off.
How do I look after the leather?
Wipe it down with a damp cloth and let it dry away from direct heat. A leather conditioner once or twice a year keeps it supple if it has been out in the wet.
