What the four pieces do
- Crimson waistcoat. Sleeveless, multi-panel and fully lined, running 55in from the shoulder so it falls past the knee rather than sitting at the hip. The red and gold marbling is woven through the cloth, not printed on the surface, so it holds up close as well as across a hall. The high collar and panelled cut give it structure without a fitting.
- White textured cotton shirt. Cotton linen with a lace-up neckline, buttoned cuffs and side slits. It reads as the layer underneath rather than competing with the waistcoat, and the texture keeps it from looking flat in photographs.
- Crimson sash. Viscose, 170cm long, worn at the waist under a belt, tied as a scarf or draped across one shoulder. It is what stops the silhouette breaking into two blocks of colour at the middle.
- Red beaded necklace. Layered wooden beads and red stones with jingling accents. It finishes the neckline where the shirt laces open.
The four arrive matched. That is the point of buying the set rather than assembling it: the red of the sash is picked to sit against the waistcoat rather than fight it, and the necklace works with the open collar instead of disappearing under it. Every piece is also sold on its own if you already own part of the look.
Why it costs what it does
A crimson waistcoat at this length is a difficult thing to buy well. The cheap version is a printed panel on a thin shell that creases through the first evening and shines under a camera flash. This one is cotton blend with the pattern in the weave, multi-panel rather than a single piece, and fully lined so it hangs from the shoulder instead of clinging. At 55in it needs that construction, because a full-length garment shows every shortcut in how it falls. Chow designs these to be worn and used at events rather than photographed once, and that is a different brief to fancy dress. The set price also buys the matching, which is the part people underestimate until they have tried to find a sash that works with a waistcoat they already own.

Delivery Schedule

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
Returns Policy
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 working days for a full refund. Postage paid will not be refunded. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Any goods returned should be in original condition.
